Android App Privacy Policy

This policy applies to GetMyPassword for Android, also known as Password Tools Pro, package com.passwordtools.pro, version 1.1.0 and later. The application is provided by GetMyPassword.com.

Information processed by the app

Password and PIN generation, passphrase generation, password-strength estimates and text utilities run on your device. We do not receive the passwords you generate, passwords you check, or text you enter. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

Local storage and retention

The app stores your appearance preference locally. It does not save generated passwords or entered text to a password history. Values can remain in the app’s working memory while the app is open. Uninstalling the app removes its local preferences. Keep important passwords in a trusted password manager; this app is a generator, not a password vault.

Clipboard

When you choose Copy, the selected value is placed on the system clipboard. Other applications may be able to access clipboard contents, subject to Android’s protections. While the app is running, it attempts to clear its last copied value after 60 seconds, only if the clipboard still contains that value. Clearing is not guaranteed if Android suspends or closes the app. You can also clear the app’s copied value from Settings.

Permissions

Haptic feedback may use the vibration permission. The app does not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, camera or photos. A network permission may be included by the application framework, but password generation does not require a connection and the app does not transmit generated passwords or entered text.

Links to our official website and other resources open your browser. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies, including the GetMyPassword.com website privacy policy. If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. Never send us your passwords, PINs or recovery phrases.

Children and intended audience

The app is a general-purpose account-security utility and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Security and limitations

Version 1.1.0 uses the operating system’s cryptographic random generator. Password-strength scores are estimates, not guarantees. Generated passphrases are intended for account passwords and must not be used as cryptocurrency wallet recovery phrases. No software can guarantee the security of a compromised device or of information copied to its clipboard.
