Change your password in account settings
- Sign in at depop.com or in the Depop app.
- Open your profile, then settings and account.
- Select the option to change password.
- Enter your current password, then a strong new one, and save.
Use a long password you do not reuse anywhere else, so a leak on another site cannot open your Depop shop and your balance.
Reset a forgotten password
On the sign-in screen choose Forgot password? and enter the email on your account. Depop sends a reset link; open it and create a new password. Keep your email account secure, because whoever controls it can reset your Depop login as well.

The classic Depop scam is a buyer who wants to leave the app. They offer to pay by a different method “to save fees,” send a fake payment confirmation, or push you toward a link that opens a fake page to grab your login or card. Keep chats and payments in the app, and never log in through a link a buyer sends.
A buyer who wants to pay you “directly to save fees” is not saving you money — they are moving the deal somewhere they control. If it leaves Depop, it leaves Depop’s protection too.
