Your DoorDash account keeps your saved cards, your home address and your order history all in one place — convenient for you, and tempting for anyone who breaks in. A strong password and two-factor authentication keep it locked down. Our GetMyPassword team covers how to change your DoorDash password, reset it when you are locked out, and keep your account secure.

Change your password in account settings
- Open the DoorDash app or doordash.com and sign in.
- Go to Account, then Account Settings.
- Find the Password field and select edit.
- Enter your current password, then the new one, and save.
If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, DoorDash has no separate password — manage your login through that provider instead.
Reset a forgotten password
On the sign-in page tap Forgot password? and enter your email. DoorDash sends a reset link; open it and create a new password. Because the reset goes to your inbox, keeping your email account secure is what ultimately protects your DoorDash access.
Watch for delivery phishing
Food-delivery accounts attract a specific scam: a text or email about a “problem with your order” or a “refund,” with a link to a fake login page. DoorDash will not ask you to log in through a link in a message to fix a delivery. When in doubt, open the app directly and check your orders there rather than tapping anything.
A hijacked delivery account means free meals charged to your card and your address in a stranger’s hands. The unique password you would use for your bank is worth using here too.
Secure it with a unique password and 2FA
Give DoorDash a password you use nowhere else, created with our password generator, and turn on two-factor authentication if offered. With a unique login and a habit of ignoring “delivery problem” links, your card and your address stay protected.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change my DoorDash password if I forgot it?
On the sign-in page tap “Forgot password?”, enter your email, and follow the reset link DoorDash sends. You need access to that email account to complete the reset.
Why can’t I find a password option in DoorDash?
If you signed up with Google, Apple or Facebook, DoorDash has no separate password. Change it through that provider instead, since that is the account you actually log in with.
How do I keep my DoorDash account secure?
Use a unique, strong password, enable two-factor authentication if available, keep your email secure, and never log in through links in texts or emails claiming there is a problem with your order.
