Change your password in account settings
- Sign in at offerup.com or in the OfferUp app.
- Open your account, then settings.
- Select the option to change password.
- Enter your current password, then a strong new one, and save.
Use a long password you do not reuse anywhere else, so a leak on another site cannot open your OfferUp account.

Another version pushes you to deal or pay off-platform through a link. Never share a code sent to you, and keep deals inside OfferUp.
No genuine buyer needs a code that was texted to your phone. Anyone asking you to “read back a verification code” is not verifying you — they are trying to become you.
