Your Adobe account ties together your Creative Cloud subscription, your saved payment details and years of files, fonts and portfolio work. Losing control of it can mean a hijacked subscription or stolen creative assets, so it is well worth protecting. Our GetMyPassword team covers how to change your Adobe password, reset it when you are locked out, and keep your account secure.

Change your password in account settings
- Sign in at account.adobe.com.
- Open the Security or Password section.
- Select Change next to Password.
- Enter your current password, then the new one, and save.
If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, Adobe has no separate password — manage your login through that provider instead.
Reset a forgotten password
On the sign-in page click Reset your password and enter your email. Adobe sends a reset link; open it and create a new password. Because the reset goes to your inbox, keeping your email account secure is what ultimately protects your Adobe access.
Watch for subscription phishing
Adobe accounts attract a familiar scam: an email about a “payment problem,” “subscription expiring” or “invoice,” with a link to a fake login page. Adobe will not ask you to confirm card details or log in through a link in a message. When in doubt, type the address yourself and check your plan in your account directly.
A hijacked Adobe account can run up charges on your card and walk away with your creative work. The unique password you would use for your bank belongs here too.
Secure it with a unique password and 2FA
Give Adobe a password you use nowhere else, created with our password generator, and turn on two-factor authentication in your security settings. With a unique login and a habit of ignoring “subscription problem” links, your payment details and your files stay protected.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change my Adobe password if I forgot it?
On the sign-in page click “Reset your password”, enter your email, and follow the reset link Adobe sends. You need access to that email account to complete the reset.
Why can’t I find a password option in my Adobe account?
If you signed up with Google, Apple or Facebook, Adobe has no separate password. Change it through that provider instead, since that is the account you actually log in with.
How do I keep my Adobe account secure?
Use a unique, strong password, enable two-factor authentication, keep your email secure, and never confirm payment details or log in through links in emails claiming your subscription or payment has a problem.
